Our private, non-smoking residence is situated in the unique position of having stunning views of Poole Harbour, Brownsea Island (topping the BBC's Countryfile Magazine poll of the country's favourite nature reserves, January 2014), the Purbeck Hills and as far as the Sandbanks Peninsular. Adjacent to Hamworthy Park you can take an early morning stroll from the house to the promenade with its traditional beach huts.
It is close to Poole Quay and the lower High Street with its museum, wide selection of pubs, restaurants and its constantly changing scenery of marine activity. Poole's theatre and concert hall, the Lighthouse, is in easy reach. Some guests plan a mini stay to be able to attend a concert with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
Holidays are special and we want our guests to enjoy a memorable breakfast each day and we relish the challenge of making something special. Try starting with fresh fruit salad or hot figs with Greek yoghurt and honey or black cherry compot with Greek yoghurt and follow with smoked salmon and scrambled egg or smoked salmon with poached egg on muffins or kedgeree or smoked haddock gratin or asparagus gratin or as a lighter option exotic fruits with parma ham served on blue and white Spode china. But the choice is yours.
Bering House is a long established B&B and has the privilege of receiving Dorset's first Five Star Gold Award. Located in an ideal place, our guests are able to visit the many interesting places in the surrounding area. People, not only from the UK, book time and time again. We, Renate and John Wadham, love having guests and look forward to their return visits.
